20130513 NAUI Open Water Certification Course at Tioman Reef Divers

Dear All, another year has passed since we dived in Tioman. My sister was planning to learn how to dive at tioman with another dive centre when i intercepted her and recommended Tioman Reef Divers instead, which is considered by many as one of the best dive centres in Tioman (NAUI).

So we went to Tioman Reef Divers. I volunteered to drive and she pay for my meals.. hehe.. i don’t mind at all.

Route (TO)

Initially we planned to take LEKAS highway then Route 11 but because we had to pick up my sister’s diving buddy (also new learner) the GPS routed us to ELITE highway and then NSE and exit at senawang. From Senawang join up to Route 11 and all the way to Kuala Rompin where we stayed a night at Hotel Seri Malaysia.

This is the route taken, distance travelled 332km, at average speed of 28km/h (i didnt realize average speed is so slow… LOL… not much traffic… but on highways i maintained speed not exceeding 120km/h

Route (Return)

This time when we reach TG Gemuk Jetty at 8am the next day, we were told the ferry leaves at 11am (WTF? the ticket i booked was 830am!) anyhow, was told the next ferry from mersing is at 10am… which is still acceptable compared to 11am… so we travelled to mersing jetty… and was immediately allowed to board the 9:00am ferry (thats odd.. was told it was 10am?)

Anyhow, here is our return route. we stopped by Kuala Pilah for dinner.

We used the same route as the one we came. Total distance travelled 420km with average speed of 5km/h… ok… i know whats wrong now. the time is a bit haywire because i merged the Tg Gemuk –> Mersing route in the return route resulting in 3days journey… thus the super low average speed.

OK.. having said all those… Lets start off with some scenery…
